Barack Obama Born in Honolulu in 1961, Barack Obama went on to become President of the Harvard Law Review and a U.S. senator representing Illinois. In 2008, he was elected President of the United States, becoming the first African-American commander-in-chief. he won a second term in 2012. He served two terms as the 44th president of the United States.

On January 27, 2010, President Obama delivered his first State of the Union speech. During his oration, Obama addressed the challenges of the economy, proposed a fee for larger banks, announced a possible freeze on government spending in the following fiscal year and spoke against the Supreme Court's reversal of a law capping campaign finance spending. He also challenged politicians to stop thinking of re-election and start making positive changes. He criticized Republicans for their refusal to support any legislation and chastised Democrats for not pushing hard enough to get legislation passed.

In an article in Forbes entitled Barack Obama A Class in Public Speaking Master, Carmine Gallo explained that in a presidency speech Barack Obama always used a variety of world-class speaking techniques to lure his audience
Obama is a gifted speaker who has something to teach all leaders in business and politics, regardless of their political opinions. By using creative language, Barack Obama takes the audience to another place.  The best speeches have one clear purpose and Obama does that with ease. His artful use of metaphors speaks for itself. He demonstrates many, many qualities of what a talented, persuasive, and motivational speaker should be. His eloquence stands out, his articulation is near perfect, and his flow is excellent. This is all topped off by his voice, which is itself, strong and clear.
President Obama is a master of the technique the Rule of Three, with not long-winded and doesn’t use jargon that disgusts the audience. in each of his speeches he can use his body gestures very effectively to emphasize every sentence he delivers, and repetition used artfully helps to clearly emphasize one idea and make it memorable.
